How to shoot for the moon.

Declare a mission, not just a major.

Taught by Debbie Senesky, Seamus Yu Harte, and Miki Sode, How to Shoot for the Moon is a 10-week course at the Stanford d.school that blends aerospace engineering and human-centered design to help students explore their personal and professional trajectories.

Through deep inquiry and hands-on projects, students tackle big questions—Who are you? Why are you here? Where do you want to go?—while pitching space-related, human-centered innovations to industry stakeholders.

Inspired by the science and art of space exploration, this course empowers students to engineer their future with intention, experimentation, and a bold vision for impact—on Earth and beyond.
