John Lennon Educational Tour Bus
The foundation of our work—and our name.
Only People founding members Seamus Yu Harte and Tyler Winick met on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus in 2007, in the parking lot of KQED where Mr. Rogers was filmed.
As young creatives—Seamus as an on-board producer and Tyler as creative director—they traveled the country, working with students, celebrities, and educators to harness the power of storytelling through music.
The bus was more than a mobile studio; it was a reminder that music can give people a voice, a way to process struggles, and a tool to create change.
This experience shaped our belief in the power of creativity, education, and storytelling—ultimately inspiring our company’s name, Only People, after John Lennon’s lyric:
"Only people know just how to talk to people. Only people know just how to change the world."
